Shipping Policy — Home Hyper City

Thank you for shopping at Home Hyper City. We are committed to getting your order to you as quickly and safely as possible. Please read this policy carefully so you know what to expect when placing an order.
Order Processing
Orders are processed and dispatched on business days only (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
Orders placed and paid for before 12:00 PM will be processed the same business day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM will be processed the following business day.
We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours of confirmed payment. For EFT payments, processing begins once proof of payment has been received and funds have cleared.
Delivery Areas
Home Hyper City delivers to all residential and business addresses within South Africa, excluding P.O. Boxes.
Please note that deliveries to remote or outlying areas may take longer and may be subject to additional fees as determined by the courier. These fees may only become apparent during the final stages of delivery routing.
Delivery Timeframes
Estimated delivery times are calculated from the date of courier collection, not from the date of payment:
- Gauteng: 3–5 working days
- All other provinces: 5–7 working days
These timeframes are estimates provided by our courier partners and are not guaranteed. Factors such as courier capacity, public holidays, and remote delivery locations may affect delivery times.
We encourage customers to place orders well in advance, particularly during peak periods such as the festive season.
Delivery Costs
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the weight and packaging requirements of your order as well as your delivery address. The final delivery cost will be displayed before you confirm your order.
Standard Items
Standard items (fabrics, haberdashery, homeware, small appliances, lighting, bed & bath, and similar products) are shipped via our trusted courier partners. Shipping rates are weight-based and displayed at checkout.
Heavy & Bulky Items
Large appliances, furniture, and other heavy or bulky items are subject to different shipping rates, displayed at checkout. For orders over R1,000 delivered within 60km of our store, heavy items may be delivered by our own drivers — this option will appear at checkout if it applies to your address.
Heavy and bulky items are not eligible for free shipping.
Free Shipping
Free standard shipping is available on orders over R1,000 delivered anywhere in South Africa. This applies to standard items only — heavy and bulky items (such as large appliances and furniture) are excluded from free shipping and will always incur a delivery charge.
Free shipping eligibility is automatically applied at checkout for qualifying orders.
In-Store Pickup
You are welcome to collect your order from our store free of charge, regardless of order value or item type.

Orders placed before 12:00 PM are typically ready for same-day collection. Orders placed after 12:00 PM will be ready the following business day.
Courier Partners & Tracking
We work with trusted courier partners to ensure your order is delivered safely and efficiently. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email from the courier, allowing you to monitor the status of your delivery.
Receiving Your Delivery
Please ensure that a responsible person is available at the delivery address to receive your order. If someone other than the account holder accepts the parcel at the provided address, it will be assumed that they are authorised to do so on your behalf.
The receiving party will be required to sign a delivery note confirming receipt of the goods. A signed delivery note constitutes proof of delivery and acceptance of the goods in satisfactory condition.
Inspection Upon Delivery
We strongly advise that all parcels are inspected upon arrival before signing the delivery note. If the outer packaging is visibly damaged, crushed, or tampered with, please do not accept the parcel and notify us immediately at hello@homehypercity.co.za.
Proof of Dispatch
To ensure full transparency and assist with resolving any delivery-related concerns, Home Hyper City photographs all outgoing orders prior to dispatch.
Shipping Fees and Returns
Shipping fees are non-refundable on change-of-mind returns. For full details on returns and refunds, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy.
